Mr. Fritzl says he is not a ‘monster’ as he did not kill his daughter and her children. He is called a ‘monster’ not because he did not kill his daughter and her children but because he incacerated her for such a long time and sexually abused her against her wishes. This act is much more monstrous than killing, in the context of Elizabeth Fritzl. A prolonged physical and psychological torture, is worse than death.
